Wild Welsh Cherry Form

A hollow form turned on the lathe in locally sourced wild welsh cherry wood. This piece came from a very large cherry tree that once stood in the grounds of Singleton park, Sketty, Swansea. It features some very attractive compression figure, which was the result of large branch formation, often called the crotch of a tree. This large diameter hollow vessel has a hand rubbed finish in oil and wax.
